About the tour

Experience an authentic drinking session where you’ll get to taste diverse alcoholic beverages like a true chilango. We will visit four different drinking spots that are off-the-radar from the usual touristy route. You’ll visit a true pulqueria, where you will taste pulque, a alcoholic drink which Aztecs believed to be the drink of the Gods. You will also step foot into a cantina, a traditional mexican bar from the Revolution times, and have a delicious tap beer, like Zapata would’ve.

You’ll also learn the history of mezcal and the difference between tequila and the former at the Museum of Tequila and Mezcal, where we will teach you how to drink both traditional spirits properly, not like those water-downed versions where you fill your mouth with salt and chug tequila. You’ll be able to choose a beverage at one of the most iconic bars in Plaza Garibaldi, the home of the traditional and world-famous Mariachis, where we will make sure you get serenaded with the best music while you sit back and enjoy your drink.

But that is not all! We don’t want you stumbling around and getting (too) drunk too soon. To make sure you have the best experience, we also include a traditional mexican snack at the beginning of the tour and halfway through, you’ll have a delicious “chorizo” torta.

This tour has been curated for people who want to experience Mexico City’s drinking culture in a laid back and authentic way. No fancy spots here. Just hidden gems & lots of fun.
